Three Oaks Garden Revitalization
Thanks to several parent and staff volunteers, as well as members of the Nimmo United Methodist Church, our Three Oaks Garden is undergoing an exciting makeover! This revitalization will allow our school’s classes and families the opportunity to learn about the many valuable aspects of planting, growing, maintaining and even harvesting a garden.
The Three Oaks garden was created years ago with the use of PTA funds. Over the past few years, our school’s staff and Garden Club have done what they can to utilize the garden and encouraged students to learn and enjoy their time while in it, but maintenance and upkeep required more time than they could dedicate.
As you can see from the photos below, our parent, staff and church volunteers have now started the process of cleaning up the beds and surrounding areas and have started growing plants that can survive over the winter. On behalf of our Three Oaks community, we would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our volunteers for taking on this challenge and we look forward to seeing where your vision takes our garden!
In the coming months, we will be sharing more details with you about the garden and how you may have the opportunity to get involved too!
